Math Test
We will have a math test this Wednesday. 

Science Test
We will have a Science test this Thursday. We will fill out the study guide in class tomorrow. 

Important Dates
Spring Break March 24-28

Spelling words
making, biting, diving, hiking, skated, prized, shaking, skating, hiding, shining, thinking, entered, opened, passing, safekeeping
bonus words to study: wizard, Kansas, tornado. (Study all three of these words during the week. I will pick one on Thursday to use as the bonus word.)

We will also have a dictation sentence each week.

Homework

Reading: A Tale of the Brothers Grimm, study vocabulary

Spelling: Study spelling words

Math: worksheet or workbook page (depending upon the skill)
Classwork: finish any classwork not finished at school

Our Spelling test will be on Friday this week since Monday was a holiday and made for a short week.
There will be NO retakes for the spelling tests on Fridays. The grade they make on Thursdays will be what goes in the grade book for the week.

Valentine's Day Party

We will have our Valentine's Day Party at lunch (11:30) on Friday, February 14, Valentine's Day!  Each student selected an item(s) to bring and following is a list of those items.  If you are unable to provide the item or items that your child selected please let me know as soon as possible.  We will also decorate bags for them to put their Valentines in to each other.  They may bring their Valentines any time after this Friday.

Valentine's Day Party

We are making plans for our Valentine's Party on Valentine's Day.  Each child selected something to bring today in class and will be letting you know tonight.  Please email me if the item they chose is not good for you and what you would be able to send.  We are going to do this during lunch on Valentine's Day.  If you would like to send something in addition to what your child has chosen please let me know also. Please let me know your plans in the next couple of days so I can post a list on the blog.   Thanks for your help.

We will have a language test this Tuesday. They have 3 lists to help them study 1. helping words, 2. words that need helping words, and 3. words that do not need helping words.
