They may use any materials they would like but it must be 3-D. This must be turned in by November 19th. This project will count as a test grade and needs to be completed by the student. Parents are allowed to help with things that are not safe for the student to do, but I must be able to tell the student did the majority of the work.

I passed out parts for the Christmas play today. Some of the students will have speaking parts and some will be in the choir. If your child has a speaking part please help them learn their line. We will be sending home the songs soon for the students to learn as well.

Math Quiz from last Friday

I am sending home the math quiz that was taken last Friday. The grades were not as good as I hoped they would be so I am not putting this grade in the grade book. I am, however, asking that you take some time tonight to review the problems that were missed with your child to make sure they understand them for the test tomorrow. We reviewed quite a bit today in class but I would like for them to study a little tonight as well. I am not giving the normal homework in hopes that you will help your child prepare for the test tomorrow. Thank you for all of your help!

Skeleton Project

This week we have been studying the Skeletal System in Science. I would like for the students to make a skeleton to be turned in by Wednesday, August 27. The skeleton can be made out of anything your child chooses. It cannot be a store bought kit or drawn on paper. You may glue things  to paper or poster board or make a model. The bones must be labeled. I want this project to reflect your child's creativity. This project will also count as grade. We have talked in great length about this project in class, so they should have a good understanding of what to do.

We will also have a test on the bones and muscles next Friday. They are bringing home a study guide for the bones today and will bring home the muscles study guide on Monday. These are very easy so don't stress!!!!

If you have any questions, please email me!!!

We are taking up money to donate to the First Baptist Daycare in memory of Mrs. Jo. If you would like to send money please send it by tomorrow or Friday at the latest.

These next 3 Weeks
The next 3 weeks are going to be crazy!!!!! With everything we have going on it is going to be hard for them to study certain things becuase we are not going to be able to review them like we normally do. With that being said, we are going to change things up a little. We will not have reading vocabulary to study at home. I will give them the definitions on a test and a word bank on the board and they must use their dictionary to look up the meaning of the words for the test. We are going to practice this a lot in class so they will be prepared for the test on Friday.

Math will be done using worksheets that I print off. We have finished our Math book and there are several things that were not covered in the Math book that I feel they need to at least be introduced to before moving on. We will have quizzes on these skills on Friday.
